Spanning across four blocks and welcoming over 25,000 visitors, the event included food, live music, and performances centered around French culture. The identity features a set of “dancing” letterforms, where each character shifts in position to create rhythym and a sense of celebration. Blue geometric shapes fill in the negative spaces between the letters, giving the compositions a mosiac-like structure, while small yellow stars add a twinkling quality to the design. This project also laid the foundation for a series of typographic illustrations I would later develop as “The Dancing Letters”. Design applications included both print and digital promotional marketing materials, large scale street banners, directional signage, wine tasting tickets, and social media assets. The show featured works by four artists and centered the themes of intimacy and desire. The visual identity uses GT Alpina alongside a pastel palette of orange, violet, pink, and deep navy. A blurred radial mark adds a sense of movement and introspection, connecting back to the exhibition’s title. with L’Alliance New York’s Programming to create the exhibition wallpaper design for Signature Sempé, a show celebrating the work of Jean-Jacques Sempé, internationally known French illustrator and cartoonist. The project incorporated 112 New Yorker covers into a large-scale wallpaper that would interract with 17 framed works on the same wall. Using the exact measurements of each frame, I mocked up the wall to scale and tested a few arrangements to find a composition that felt balanced and intentional. Once we had the placement of the framed works, the remaining space was used to organize the covers into a 22 x 7 grid, grouped loosely by theme. The final product created a visually rich backdrop, giving structure to a large archive of work, while also maintaining a clear relationship with the framed pieces. T I Want to Remember Everything is a series of books, publications, and installations created in Spring 2021 as part of my RISD Graphic Design degree project. Built from four years of writing, illustrations, and digital files, the project questions how personal archives might be made visible outside of conventional systems of documentation. The work unfolded in two phases. The first focused on archiving: scanning, collecting, and redacting material, while identifying the distinct visual languages that emerged. The second focused on translation— turning that archive into a set of designed forms.The final body of work includes five books of typeset journal entries, full-scale notebook scans assembled into a large poster, a clear acetate poster of vectorized illustrations, and hanging strips of digital files. In the end, these separate mediums come together to create a single, layered, autobiographical space. The project also included an interactive writing workshop built around reading personal writing aloud. This component illustrated how biography is shaped through multiplicity and relationship to others. I Want to Remember Everything is a celebration: an invitation to rethink documentation as something more personal, collaborative, expansive, and lively. <img width="3456" height="2304" width_o="3456" EverywhereFold out Publication 2019 The Map of Everywhere is a large fold-out publication and school project shaped around a simple question: what if you turned your life into a map? Using New Orleans, Providence, and Stratford as its three anchor points, the project explores how place shapes identity. Each location has its own axis, color, photography, and writing. These layers overlap across the publication, allowing for multiple places and memories to exist at once. On the reverse side, actual maps are superimposed, creating a new hybrid geography. The project treats mapping not as a fixed system, but as something more personal and open to reinvention. Jan 2019 Unexpected Expectations is a perfect-bound photobook made during winter in the Northeast. What started off as a photography project became a way for me to search for warmth, color, and familiarity in my surroundings. Warmth came through sunlight, golden hour skies, and the small moments that made winter feel less intense. Color became part of the process as well. I retouched each image to bring out the colors I was already responding to in real life. Familiarity came through friends and family, solo trips, and the effort of making new memories for myself. Images shift in scale, overlap, and change in pace from spread to spread. As the title suggests, the project became a way of finding beauty where I wasn’t necessarily expecting it. True revolutionaries, the band is imagined as a return to classic electronics with a modern edge. The identity combines Studio Feixen with calligraphic forms to represent these different musical voices. It leans into bold colors which vary across applications.
